New ToneWoodAmp2 Will Not Power On

ToneWoodAmp2 Will Not Connect to Bluetooth

 

ToneWoodAmp2 is producing feedback: 

  • Reduce guitar volume to half. If your guitar has a built-in mic in a hybrid system, turn the mic all the way off. Use just the signal from the undersaddle or magnetic portion of the pickup.
  • Reduce Master Gain so that the peak level is between 80-90dB. 
  • Turn the Feedback Assassin on.

  • Increase dB limit on Low Frequency Limiter and slowly turn the Bass Limit frequency knob up slowly until rumbling/low frequency feedback stops.

  • Set Notch Filters.
    • Click one of the six frequencies to open notch filter control section.

    • Click the microphone icon to enable tuner. Notch filter will automatically adjust to the frequency being picked up by the tuner.

    • Increase cut knob until feedback stops. 
    • Adjust width to control how many frequencies around the problematic frequency are also cut. 
    • Click x to exit.
    • Repeat if necessary.
    • Click Save/Update Changes


ToneWoodAmp2 is not producing sound:

  • Ensure that the ¼” cable is fully plugged into the ToneWoodAmp’s input jack and your guitar’s output jack.
  • Check to ensure your guitar’s preamp has a good battery and is passing signal. Plug it directly into another amp to test the output.
  • Try a different cable between the guitar and ToneWoodAmp.
  • Make sure the ToneWoodAmp2 is not set to mute. Hold down the middle button on the middle toggle to mute or unmute TWA2.
  • Increase Master Gain if using a low output pickup. 

 



ToneWoodAmp2 is not powering on: 
  • Ensure the unit is fully charged. Plug charge cable into USB-C port until the unit shows charged. 
  • Hold down the blue power button until the display illuminates.

 



ToneWoodAmp 2 is producing distortion:

  • Adjust the Lift Kit to ensure flat seating of the ToneWoodAmp2’s exciter cone.
  • Reduce guitar volume to half.
  • Reduce Master Gain so that the peak dB level is between 85-95.
  • Reduce Master Volume.




ToneWoodAmp2 will not stay attached to guitar:

  • Expose one of two black suction pads on the bottom of the ToneWoodAmp2.
  • Adjust Lift Kit to ensure flat seating of the ToneWoodAmp2’s exciter cone.
  • Expose second suction pad. 

 



The X-Brace will not stay attached inside of guitar after installation:

  • Remove X-Brace from guitar and remove the existing adhesive from brace.
  • Use a lightly damp rag to wipe the inner surface of the guitar where the brace sits. Usually, dust prevents adhesion.
  • Attach additional adhesive pads found in TWA2 packaging to X-Brace.
  • Reinstall X-Brace.




New ToneWoodAmp2 Will Not Power On

  • Connect unit to USB power. 
    • The display should illuminate.
  • Disconnect unit from USB power.
  • Attempt to power unit on and off using the blue button.



 

ToneWoodAmp2 Will Not Connect To Bluetooth


  • Power your ToneWoodAmp2 on and check to see if Bluetooth is on.
    • During the power on process, you'll see a message that shows if Bluetooth is on or off. If off, do the following:
      • Simultaneously Click HOME button and the third + toggle to access Code Updates menu.
      • Click number button(2) to turn Bluetooth (BLE) on or off.
    • If on follow these steps:
      • Access settings for your device.
      • Search for Tonewoodamp Remote and click on the settings for the app
      • Enable Bluetooth
      • Follow the above steps to connect via the Tonewoodamp Remote App. 


       


    ToneWoodAmp2 will not pass sound through output jack.
