How Long do The Batteries Last?

Battery Types and Average Battery Life

Battery life will vary depending on battery cell type, brand quality, battery age, and your playing style.

On average, the estimated battery life using quality brand alkaline batteries (Energizer, Duracell) is 7 hours.
We recommend using rechargeable AA batteries designed for high-current devices.

Best: Tenavolts rechargeable batteries.

Better: Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2450mAh.

Good: Duracell and Energizer are good alkaline options.

Tenavolts and other similar Lithium-Ion Rechargeable AA batteries provide far more playing time than alkaline batteries. In addition, there is no gradual power degradation or sensitivity to peaks that other batteries are prone to. As other AA batteries drain power, they fall below 1.5 volts. Tenavolts will provide a constant 1.5 volts. The recharge time is two hours.

The Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2450 mAh lasts roughly 11 hours and is great for high-drain devices like cameras and portable recorders. Recharge time is roughly 7 hours.

Please Note:
Never mix batteries by type, brand, or age in your ToneWoodAmp.

Alkaline cells tend to leak when a low-current battery is mixed with a new battery. Leaking batteries will result in corrosion and may potentially cause serious damage to your ToneWoodAmp.
