I have a Taylor GS Mini which I enjoy playing very much. The back of the guitar is slightly rounded. Does the rubber "speaker" on the TWA have to be in contact with the wood? If so, can I move the TWA higher up the back so that it does? or will that affect sound?
Hi Lou. You're going to want the rubber driver to sit as flush as possible with the back of your guitar. For GS Mini there are two mounting options. First, you can mount TWA almost flush with the edge of the guitar toward the endpin. This will allow TWA to sit as flat as necessary. Other folks have had luck rotating TWA 90 degrees from normal mounting position.
Mounting too close to the bridge or right up underneath it may result in feedback.
