Initial installation and setup of the ToneWoodAmp is fast and easy. It requires no tools and leaves no lasting or permanent impact on your guitar.
What is an X- brace?
An X-Brace consists of four magnets connected to one another and held in place by a four-legged, X-shaped unit. The X-Brace is affixed to internally along the back of an instrument using semi permanent 3M adhesive foam (can be safely removed).*
*PLEASE NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT TO DO A "DRY" TEST FITTING BEFORE REMOVING THE LINERS FROM YOUR X-BRACE MAGNETS
Installing the X-brace (Only attempt this once you have properly positioned your ToneWoodAmp).
Step 1: With your TWA still taped in position, loosen your guitar strings for easy access to the sound-hole.
Step 2: Peel off the protective layer from the four magnets and insert the X-Brace through the sound-hole
Step 3: With your ToneWoodAmp still secured to back of your guitar, let the magnets SLOWLY snap into position, and press firmly for no less than 10 seconds Please note that all 4 magnets should make contact.
Step 4: Tighten your strings and tune your guitar.
Step 5: Remove tape from the back of the guitar.
Once your X-Brace is installed inside of your guitar, detaching and attaching the ToneWoodAmp will be simple :)
The X-Brace is available for purchase on our Order page. Some users like ordering an extra to install in additional guitars).
